4 Tons
The Goodman AMST48CU1300 air handler is rated for an output of 4 tons. In many cases, the tonnage of the air handler will be larger than the condenser that it is naturally paired with. This is intentional, and is to maintain the overall efficiency of the unit. While the unit does require a condenser to function as part of a heat pump or air conditioner, heat strips may be installed in the air handler to provide straight electric heating, which can be used as an electric furnace on its own or as a backup heat option for a heat pump setup.
Warranty
The AMST48CU1300 comes with Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty when registered online through the manufacturer. Please note that in order for the warranty to be upheld, the installation must be compliant to all related local and state codes, as well as the unit must be paired with an approved condenser.

4 Ton
The GLXS4BA4810 Goodman condenser is a 4 ton unit, meaning that it can cover up to a medium to large house in an ideal climate. In some unit bundles, the required AC coil may be larger than this condenser in tonnage. This is intentional, as it maintains the unit's efficiency.
14.3 SEER2
The GLXS4BA4810 AC-only conditioner can be up to 14.3 SEER2 in efficiency when paired with the proper equipment. As the standard efficiency on the market for all states, this unit is average in efficiency. Every SEER2 point is 5-7% more efficient than the one lower than it, saving you money the higher the SEER2 rating of the unit. Please note that this product is regulated by DOE Efficiency Standards.
Warranty
The GLXS4BA4810 condenser comes with Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty with online registration through the manufacturer. An installation that follows your state and local codes is required for the warranty to be upheld.
Durability and Reliability
The GLXS4BA4810 Goodman AC condenser cabinet has a baked-on painted finish and is made of a galvanized-steel, making it approved for up to 500 hours of salt-spray and compliant with the 2010 Florida building code integrity requirements for hurricane-type winds when properly anchored. Moreover, the unit is equipped from the factory with a filter dryer that lowers general wear-and-tear on the unit.
