The Goodman AMVT42CP1300 air handler is rated for an output of 3.5 tons. In many cases, the tonnage of the air handler will be larger than the condenser that it is naturally paired with. This is intentional, and is to maintain the overall efficiency of the unit. While the unit does require a condenser to function as part of a heat pump or air conditioner, heat strips may be installed in the air handler to provide straight electric heating, which can be used as an electric furnace on its own or as a backup heat option for a heat pump setup.

The AMVT42CP1300 comes with Goodman's standard 10 year parts warranty when registered online through the manufacturer. Please note that in order for the warranty to be upheld, the installation must be compliant to all related local and state codes, as well as the unit must be paired with an approved condenser.

At 2 tons, the GLZT7CA3610 Goodman Heat Pump is suitable for a larger house in average climate conditions. Please note that for this unit to function, a compatible air handler or coil is required. Sometimes, the air handler or coil that is paired in a system bundle will be larger than the heat pump condenser in tonnage to maintain the units overall efficiency.

At 17 SEER2, the GLZT7CA3610 condenser is manufactured to be the highest possible efficiency made by Goodman today. The GLZT7CA3610 can save you around 25% in energy bills in comparison to a 14.3 SEER2 standard efficiency condenser, saving you a significant amount of money over time to spend on the things you care about most instead of on your energy bills.
