TXV (Thermostatic Expansion Valve)

A TXV is a precision component that automatically adjusts the amount of refrigerant flowing into the evaporator coil based on the cooling load. Unlike a fixed orifice, a TXV allows the system to respond to changing indoor conditions, improving efficiency and comfort. This is a common feature in our multi-position air handler units and larger central systems. By maintaining the correct refrigerant flow, the TXV helps the system provide superior humidity control even on milder days. You can see this technology at work in our central condensers air conditioner condenser units. It is a key reason why modern ducted systems are so much more efficient than those from a decade ago.
