The inverter compressor is the "variable-speed" heart of our modern Heat Pump Systems. Unlike old-fashioned compressors that are either 100% on or 100% off, an inverter can slow down or speed up to match the exact cooling load. This results in much lower energy bills and a more consistent indoor temperature. Our Cooper&Hunter and OLMO lines are built around this advanced technology. Because it doesn't cycle on and off constantly, it also runs much more quietly and lasts longer than traditional units. It is the primary reason our Wall Mount units achieve such high SEER2 ratings. This technology represents the single biggest advancement in HVAC efficiency in the last 20 years.
