Horizontal swing refers to the ability of the Indoor Air Handler to automatically move its vertical louvers from side to side. This ensures that conditioned air is distributed evenly across a wide room rather than being focused in one spot. Many of our premium models, like the Sophia Series, offer 4-D airflow which combines both horizontal and vertical swings. You can control this feature easily using your Wireless Remote Control. It is a great feature for large living rooms or open-concept offices where air circulation is a challenge. By moving the air constantly, the system can reach your desired temperature more quickly and efficiently. You can also "lock" the louvers in a specific direction if you prefer the air to blow toward a certain area. This customization is a hallmark of our Ductless Mini Splits.
