Heat Exchanger

The heat exchanger is the component where the actual transfer of heat occurs between the refrigerant and the air. In a Ductless Mini Split, both the indoor and outdoor units contain heat exchangers (coils). Our High-Efficiency Systems use advanced copper tubing with internal grooves to maximize surface area. This results in faster cooling and heating for your home. You can protect these delicate parts with a Gold Fin Coating to prevent corrosion. If a heat exchanger becomes clogged with dirt, the system's efficiency will plummet. We recommend regular Coil Cleaning to keep these parts functioning perfectly. You can see the technical design of our exchangers in the Series Info for Cooper&Hunter. It is the core technology that makes a heat pump possible.
