A dual-stage compressor is a more advanced version of the standard compressor that can run at two distinct speeds: high for extreme weather and low for milder days. This provides significantly better energy efficiency than older single-stage units that are either 100% "on" or "off." While many of our premium units now use DC Inverter technology for even more precision, dual-stage systems are still a reliable choice for central condensers. This technology reduces the "stop-start" wear on the motor, extending its lifespan. You can find these robust systems in our shop all ducted section. They offer a great middle-ground between basic units and high-end variable-speed models.
