Airflow Volume (CFM)
CFM, or Cubic Feet per Minute, measures the volume of air that your Indoor Air Handler can move through the room. High CFM is essential for large, open-concept areas, while lower CFM settings are perfect for quiet bedrooms. You can find the CFM ratings for all our units, including the 24,000 BTU models, in the Technical Data sheets. Our Cooper&Hunter systems offer multiple fan speeds to give you total control over this airflow. If the CFM is too low, the room may feel "stuffy" or take longer to cool down. Conversely, our Ceiling Cassettes are designed for high-volume air distribution in four directions. Knowing the CFM help you choose the right unit for your specific room dimensions using our HVAC Load Calculator. It is a key metric for both comfort and system performance.
