115V vs 230V Systems

Choosing between an 115V and 230V system depends on the BTU Capacity and your home’s electrical panel. Most of our 9,000 and 12,000 BTU units are available in both voltages, while larger units require 230V. An 115V system is often easier to install in older homes without a 240V circuit. However, 230V systems are generally more efficient and are required for Multi-Zone and Central Condensers. You can find technical electrical specs for all models in our Technical Data section. We recommend consulting with an electrician before you Sort by BTU and make your purchase. Proper voltage is essential for the safety and performance of your Ductless Mini Split.
